Wow wow wow, Shepherd’s Rest was the perfect place to relax and unwind, everything was amazing, the hosts David and Carol were so welcoming and lovely and nothing was too much trouble.

Carol contacted me personally a couple of weeks beforehand to answer a query I had and was so helpful and that continued when we had any queries or questions once we arrived.

The property is gorgeous with everything you could need and the hot tub, for us, with a teenager in tow was great fun, so relaxing and all our evenings centred around it.

Only thing I would have changed was ordering more food to cook dinners, on holiday I usually like a break from cooking and to get out and enjoy the pubs and restaurants but we ended up doing extra shopping so we could get back and chill out at the lodge, use the tub and take in the breathtaking views.

We are already trying to sort out a return visit later this year.

I booked this cottage for a week of relaxation, comfort, and luxury over Christmas with my partner and my two friends. It delivered in all three aspects and on every level. The cottage was finished to the highest specification and beautifully decorated throughout.

The owners had gone to exceptional trouble to prepare the cottage for Christmas with a tree not only inside but also outside in the extensive garden. As soon as we entered, we felt so festive.

The porch and utility room have plenty of storage, a washing machine, and a sink. This is an excellent area to clean off your muddy boots and your muddy dogs! The kitchen was equipped with absolutely everything we could have wanted.

It was extremely useful to have two ovens especially as we were there for Christmas and cooking a traditional dinner. Not only was it well equipped, but everything in it was also of the highest quality.

We thoroughly enjoyed sitting around the dining table and looking out through the bi-folding doors at the spectacular views over the Welsh countryside.

The log burner made the sitting area so cosy and inviting in the evenings (and of course, the excellent hosts left a copious supply of logs) and it was fantastic to have access to Netflix as well as Prime, so we had a wide choice of films to watch. The addition of an upstairs toilet was so convenient.

My friends were thrilled with the two rooms on the ground floor level. The beds were super comfortable, and the ensuites were beautifully fitted and decorated.

And what can I say about the main bedroom on the lower level? It was beyond luxurious, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was stunning, and it was great to have the choice of a bath or a shower. The shower had so many different options, from rainfall to jets on the sides.

I was so surprised and delighted to open the cupboard containing the coffee machine and extra wine fridge downstairs. It really was a five-star luxury.

We thoroughly enjoyed using the hot tub and the views it afforded over the surrounding hills was stunning.

The hosts were welcoming before we had even left home. Carol sent me an extremely informative email of all the things it was possible to do in the area so that I was well prepared before I even arrived at the cottage. They were always available should we require any help and we felt extremely welcome throughout our stay.

Both Carol and David are excellent hosts, and nothing was too much trouble. They left a beautiful welcome pack for us on our arrival and set the tone for what was to be the most amazing Christmas ever.

I cannot recommend this place nor these hosts highly enough.

We had the most wonderful stay. The property is stunning, and the ‘View’ is amazing. Peace, quiet, fabulous for chilling out!!

The views were absolutely stunning and we enjoyed breakfast with the sunrise, BBQ in the quietness and a relaxing soak in the hot tub.

We have really enjoyed our stay in Llety Cariad. The accommodation is of an extremely high standard and very well equipped.

We made use of the pizza oven and the hot tub, plus cooked in the kitchen. Everything worked and we were able to follow all the instructions. I would recommend this accommodation and the location to anyone.

The local walks were excellent with lovely views and Montgomery is a wonderful little town. Thank you.

Llety Cariad is a stunning holiday let. The quality of the property is first-class throughout, topped with fantastic views.

So much thought has gone into everything you may need. The kitchen is well-equipped, quality of everything in this property are of the highest standard. Even to the smallest touches of fresh flowers, lovely welcome hamper and quality of outdoor seating.

Carol and David were very welcoming, once we’d settled in, everything was explained…use of the hot tub & sauna etc.

We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone.

What an amazing property! Immaculately clean with everything you’d need. The views are absolutely stunning, we never got tired of sitting and looking out at them.

The hot tub was a big hit with us all. It was lovely being able to collect fresh eggs from the chickens each day, and we loved meeting and feeding the alpacas!

The hosts Carol and David were so lovely and were there if we needed them. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful property in a beautiful location. Plas Robin was straightforward to find – the postcode takes you directly there which is always a comfort after a long drive.

Ty Hiraeth was better than our expectations (which were already high!), the views were magnificent and the property was spacious and spotless on arrival.

There was everything we needed to have a more than comfortable stay and provided the perfect base for exploring some of mid-Wales.

Carol and David the hosts were lovely and welcoming, and happy to help with anything when needed. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Spot on! Really good experience, Dave and Carol, the owners made us very welcome and looked after us exceptionally well, the chalet was spotless, everything is new and clean, brilliant wood burner for the cold winter nights, really cosy!

This has an exceptionally pleasant view down two valleys, it doesn’t matter if it’s raining or sunny, it’s just lovely to sit and look… red kites flying below, sheepdogs rounding up the sheep, rainbows… a truly incredible place to stay, regardless of the season.

Had a wonderful break at Plas Robin. The lodge was the best we had stayed in and we have stayed in many. From the well-equipped kitchen to the very tasteful decor all extremely high class.

The owners were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. I have got to mention the eggs from their very free-range hens the best I have tasted in many a year. We will certainly be returning in the future for a relaxing break in this beautiful location.
